Exhibits (each day)
Agricultural fairs in North Carolina are rich in heritage and diversity, and reflect the community spirit found in towns across the state. The fairs are inspected by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to ensure they meet the minimum exhibit and premium requirements to be certified as an agricultural fair.
The fairs were first held to educate farmers about new farming procedures and to showcase agricultural products. The tradition continues today through the Goodness Grows in North Carolina country fair exhibits. The exhibits are used to highlight specific agricultural products that are produced in that county and increase fairgoer awareness of the importance of North Carolina’s No. 1 industry: agriculture.
