The Republican candidate for District 95’s N.C. House of Representatives seat will no longer run unopposed in this fall’s election.
Grey Mills, a Mooresville lawyer who edged out incumbent Karen Ray in May’s GOP primary, has been joined on the ballot for the seat by Libertarian candidate Jeffrey Ober.
Judy Anthony of the Iredell County Board of Elections said Wednesday that Ober, a Mooresville resident, filed with the elections office on July 7.
Anthony said another candidate could also contend for the seat, although his name won’t be on the ballot. Marc Fasano, a Mooresville Republican, qualified to be a write-in candidate for November’s election by submitting petitions with 100 qualified names.
Voters can write in his name if they so choose and those votes will be counted, Anthony said.
