ELECTION RESULTS: County Commission Republican primary

Gene Houpe: 4,114 (14.8%)
Brad Howard: 5,196 (18.69%)
Scott Keadle: 6,009 (21.62%)
Ken Robertson: 6,781 (24.39%)
Godfrey Williams: 5,699 (20.5%)

Incumbents Ken Robertson and Godfrey Williams and challenger Scott Keadle were the top-three vote-getters in Tuesday’s Republican primary for three seats on the Iredell County Commission, according to unofficial votes released by the Iredell County Board of Elections Office.

Robertson led the way with 6,781 votes, Keadle was second with 6,009 and Williams finished third with 5,699 votes.

Brad Howard, retiring Commissioner Sara Haire Tice’s choice to fill her seat, finished fourth with 5,196 votes and Gene Houpe was a distrant fifth with 4,114 votes.
