With only two days left to file, four new candidates have emerged for this year’s municipal elections.
Two candidates signed up to run for Love Valley. Incumbent Andy Barker placed his name on the ballot for town mayor and Linda T. Jolly signed up to run for town commissioner.
Donnetta Lavette Watkins joined Statesville City Council Ward 6 incumbent Flake Huggins Jr. and Jaun Williams in the Statesville City Council Ward 6 race.
Rodger Hyatt joined Larry Wilson, Sue Wilson, Mark McCulloh and Edward Karriker in the race for three seats on the Mooresville Graded School Board.
