I live in Mooresville, North Carolina. Mooresville is apart of the long and narrow Iredell County. This is a very special part of North Carolina to live in, and there are many advantages that you couldn’t find anywhere else.

Do you own a boat or enjoy water sports? Mooresville is home to Lake Norman. In the hot weather that North Carolina offers, it is refreshing to take a dip in the lake to cool down. It is always fun to go water skiing down the lake or even just sit on the dock to relax.

NASCAR is a big part of Mooresville. Although the races can bring tourists that sometimes overpopulate the area, it is exciting to go to races and root on your favorite driver. Mooresville is proud to call its home Race City USA.

Education is a high priority in Iredell County. Outside of Mooresville, Iredell County is home to Davidson Community College. This Community College is affordable for students to live at home and also brings the college to students to enjoy the lake, NASCAR, and the other wonders that Iredell brings. In many other areas in the state or country, a county is limited to one public high school. In Iredell, there are six public high schools to choose from in the area, and many other private and charter schools.

Doesn’t Iredell County seem like a great place to be apart of? It is always fun to relax on the lake and go to the NASCAR races. It is also fortunate to know that I am getting a good education in Iredell County. Mooresville is just one city in the county, but I’m glad that it is where I live!
