Although I do not live in Iredell County, I spend a majority of my time at school on the southern border between Davidson and Mooresville. I admire how Iredell county has not been taken over by modern society. The area where I attend school has a rich environment and there are many enormous trees. If you drive away from the school on any road you will not see a hotel or car dealership for miles in all direction. I presume Iredell County will be taken over by the modern society within the next few years although I would like it to stay. I expect that the area my school is located will be full of restaurants and large stores in the years to come. What was previously quiet and welcoming will be blaring and people will try to navigate around it. I hope it will not develop any at all because I am very fond of how far Iredell has progressed to this day. I don’t want to have to drive through stoplights and intersections to get to school every morning. Although I don’t consume very much time in Iredell County because I live in Davidson, I would rather not see it develop like its neighbor Mecklenburg.
