IREDELL IN TRANSITION

A look at our growing county

‘Iredell County is my home and I am here to stay!’

Marquise Williams, 7th grade, Success Charter

Iredell through my eyes has rich history! When I say that I mean this county has schools from way back in the day that are still existing like Morning Side High which is currently the old A.D. Rutherford. This is the school my grandmother attended.

In ten years, I foresee my school Success Charter still standing, expanding, and making an impact. Also, I envision more Boys and Girls Clubs to keep our children safe and off the streets. I see all people prospering and living in harmony. I see less homeless people on the street corners with no place to live. I see more libraries in other parts of Iredell County to help improve the literacy.

Maybe in fifty more years, I would like to see less fast food restaurants and more places that sale healthier foods. I would like to see less teen age girls walking around with all of these babies thinking that it is cute because it is not.

Iredell County is my home and I am here to stay!
