I have lived in Iredell County my entire life. Many things have changed during these thirteen years, because the population has grown so dramatically. The population has affected the building, government, and the people of Iredell County. Some of these changes are not the best for this county. The striking changes that have already occurred I’m sure will not be the end; in fact they are just the beginning.
You can do a lot of things in Iredell County. One of the most significant reasons so many people have moved here is Lake Norman. For example, Mooresville, the prime area which Lake Norman is lo-cated, used to be a small town, but now is a small metropolis. As you can see, this landmark has caused vast changes that we pass every day.
I want many things for this county. I would like it to interest people passing through. Iredell County has a lot of history, so it would be efficient if we could display that more. I believe some of my wants for this county, are contrary to many public leaders’ opinions. I believe town board members want this county to be contemporary, for the newest generation. I don’t think it would be right if we just over looked our history. The world is becoming modernized, wherever you look, that doesn’t mean that Iredell County history should be modernized just because of the growth.
