Iredell County is a great county to live in. We keep it well kept and green. The people are friendly and polite to the people they meet. Iredell County keeps the citizens healthy by putting in parks in all of our towns. Our county is progressing in growth along with all of our facilities. We now have access to many new restaurants and stores.
In Iredell County, I enjoy our new, healthy restaurants. Subway and Quiznos are trying to encourage Iredell citizens to enjoy eating healthy. Our new, clean movie theater is pleasing to visit also. I think that we should help our local businesses too by buying our everyday necessities there instead of name brands. This will help our economy grow. Fort Dobbs Hardware is a good example.
The Annual Pumpkin Fest is a town activity that people of all ages can go to and have a great time. There are games, food, and entertainment all day long. The festival is spread out around downtown so people can get exercise while walking around. Local businesses are there to get more customers. Also, new activities are advertised to the passersby. The entertainment is amazing to watch. Altogether the Pumpkin Fest is a hit in Iredell County.
The Christmas Parade is another great event in Iredell County. All schools, clubs, after-school activities, and churches represent themselves in the parade. The parade starts at the very north tip of Statesville. It continues through the downtown area all the way to Statesville High School. Almost every Iredell citizen comes to watch this amazing parade.
Fort Dobbs Historical Site is a very unique historic site of Iredell County. I’ve been there many times to watch the reenactments, got to the museum, and to hike their nature hike. They are trying to rebuild the Fort so that the visitors might have a better idea of what the Fort looked like back then.
I think that Iredell County is the best place to live in all of North Carolina!
