Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education members David Cash and Keith Williams fought off challenges Tuesday by opponents who criticized the current board and administration for its implementation of the Baldrige Model for Performance Excellence, according to unofficial results released by the Iredell County Board of Elections Office.
Chairman David Cash defeated three challengers in the District 2 race, garnering 1,368 votes. Former I-SS teacher Marshall Stewart was second with 959 votes, Morris Roseman was third with 536 votes and John Miller, who suspended his campaign last week, was fourth with 408 votes.
In the District 4 race, incumbent Keith Williams received 1,699 votes to easily defeat Mark James, who garnered 977 votes.
