How would you spend the tax rebate?

The Bush administration and Congress are negotiating an economic-stimulus package that could be worth up to $150 billion. The goal is to thwart a potential recession, or at least lessen its impact, by increasing consumer spending — the main economic driver in recent years.

The rebate could range from $500 to $800 for individuals and from $1,000 to $1,600 for married couples.

Would you spend the money or save it? What would you spend the money on?

I would certainly spend the extra money at the orthodontist for my son and daughter.

I am paying off bills because they are cutting back on hours. Have to live some how!

We would save ours, I see it getting worse before it gets better.

We are putting ours back into our savings.  Last year we had to replace our air conditioning unit that was nearly $10,000.  Ouch!  Crown Financial teaches you to put your money back for those rainy days because it’s not a matter of “if” it’s a matter of “when.”

I will use it to get some needed repairs on my car.

We’re working hard to get out of the credit card trap. So, we’ll save most of it.

I would put it towards the principal part of my mortgage loan.

I would invest the money in stocks. Why not give the money an opportunity to double by investing in a good stock?

We will probably use ours toward the upgrade of all the televisions in our home to get them ready for High Definition.  We only have one ready at present.  If there is anything left over, we will save it.
