Barber a regional champ, state finalistBy Biran Meadows
Mark Barber had an impressive showing in the hurdles Saturday at the 3A West Regional. Barber zoomed to the title in the 110-meter hurdles. He clocked in at 15.14 seconds, enough to edge Mooresville’s Tommy Ryan for first place by .01 seconds.
In addition, Barber placed second in the 300 hurdles. He will compete for a state title in both events Friday.
