Campbell saves best for lastBy Brad Norman
Travis Campbell was the surprise star for North’s golf team during last week’s Iredell County championship. Playing in the No. 6 spot, Campbell shot a 95 to lead the Raiders. It was North’s only score below 100. “We were surprised, but really happy for him,” North coach Tami Ramsey said. “I was excited for him, being a senior and his last match.” Campbell played sparingly throughout the season, and his best nine-hole score was a 53 — which would equate to a 106 for 18 holes. Campbell’s 95 included a round of 42 on the back nine, his best nine-hole total this year. Bookmarkz |
