GIRLS BASKETBALL: Gaston Day 43, Statesville Christian 33 Lions fall behind late in lossFROM STAFF REPORTS The Lions (12-10) led 19-18 at halftime and were tied entering the fourth quarter, but couldn’t hold on. Katie Lamm scored eight points for Statesville Christian, while Logan Bearfield added 11 rebounds. Tenika Neely poured in 27 points to lead Gaston Day. Neely nailed four 3-pointers in the victory.
