Playoff breakthrough satisfies WildcatsBy Brian Meadows Lake Norman’s baseball season ended on a sour note Friday night as the Wildcats fell 8-0 to East Rowan in the third round of the 3A state playoffs. Donnie Burt and Ross Whitley each had two hits for the Wildcats, whose final 13-14 record in-cluded the first two playoff victories in the program’s six-year history. “I’m proud of these guys,’’ Lake Norman coach Robert Little said. “A lot of other teams have waited longer than we have to make it this far.” Bookmarkz |
