South set to take on team that toppled SPC’s No. 1

A regular season game that looked eminently winnable has turned tough for South’s soccer team. The Vikings host Cherryville (5-6-5 overall, 2-4-3 SPC) tonight, a team coming off a 1-0 win over conference leader North Lincoln.
Ball control will be a critical factor for the young Vikings.
“We move the ball well for about the first 30 minutes,” South coach David Basinger said. “Then we’ll get a goal and we let down. We have to get past that.”
