Statesville Montessori sweeps three-team meetStatesville Montessori won both the boys and girls races in a three-team meet on Monday. SMS had the top two finishers in the boys race, with winner Sebastien Carpentier, who finished in 12 minutes, 59 seconds, and Spencer Crosby, who finished one second back. Statesville Montessori finished with 20 team points, ahead of North Hills (28) and Christian Family Academy (36).
Jessica Rumple won the girls race in 13:40 for SMS. Teammate Janna Powell was fourth. Statesville Montessori had 19 team points. North Hills (28) was second, followed by Christian Family Academy (41).
