Baseball camp starts Dec. 21

Consider part of the Christmas wish list for area certain-aged youth baseball players at least partially granted even before the big gift-giving day arrives.

Once again this late December, the annual Baseball at Christmas pitcher and baseball camp will be held. Registration is underway now and is rounding the bases towards home plate for the affair that is on tap to take place Dec. 21-22.

All of the camp-related events will be held in the Mooresville Middle School gym. Hours of the affair both days are 9-11 a.m.

The attraction is being specifically catered to youth ages 8-14 who are most interested in learning the basics of the catcher and pitcher positions. Members of the Mooresville Middle School and Mooresville Senior High baseball coaching staffs will be serving as instructors.

The cost of participating is $45 per camper and the fee payment includes the cost of a T-shirt and additional gifts that all campers will be allowed to keep.

The camp, according to its officials, is designed to teach the fundamentals of both pitching and catching. Players will be participating in many drills and activities specifically related to both key positions.

Catchers are being asked to bring their own equipment. However, some camp equipment will be available for those who do not have their own.
A camp entry form must be signed complete with parental permission before any participant can take part in the two-day affair.

If paying by check, they can be made payable to either Michael Fulton or Jeff Burchett and mailed to 665 Linwood Road, Mooresville, N.C. 28115.
