Blue Devils, Wildcats set to open playoffsMooresville and Lake Norman will face big tests Friday in the first round of the 3A state baseball playoffs. The Blue Devils (18-5) finished second in the North Piedmont 3A this season. That earned them a road meeting with Newton Foard (16-7), the No. 2 seed from the Catawba Valley Athletic Conference. Meanwhile, the Wildcats (11-13), the NPC’s No. 6 team, will travel to face Mid-Piedmont champion Southeast Guilford (19-3), the state runner-up last season. Bookmarkz |
