Sophomore Clay Brown ended the golf season in style.
At 5-over and in third place at the 2A state championship match Tuesday, Brown got himself out of trouble on the final hole to save par.
Brown’s tee shot landed at a difficult position behind a bunker. He got his ball back on the fairway and, from 50 yards out, pitched onto the front fringe and calmly sank a 15-foot putt to finish the day.
“It was one of the most incredible pars I’ve seen in a while,” Vikings coach David Foster said.
