TRACK AND FIELD: At Kannapolis
Devils sweep six-team meetFROM STAFF REPORTS Akeem Black (100 dash, 200 dash), Jake Deaton (discus and shot put) and Tommy Ryan (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles) each won two individual events for the Blue Devils boys, while Black also pitched in on the team’s 4x100 relay win. Mooresville finished with 240 team points, well ahead of second-place Kannapolis (145). Jamel Allison, Rodrell Livingston, Patrick Campbell and Josh Cox also won individual events. The Mooresville boys took first place in the 4x800 relay as well. Aisha Cannon (triple jump and 200 dash) and Maddy Knowland (discus and shot put) each won two events to help the Blue Devils girls finish with 172 points. Kannapolis was second with 111. Leondra Pridgen and Talea Sturdivant won events for Mooresville, as did the relay teams in the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800. Bookmarkz |
