Doubles team eyes repeat
By Brad Norman
The SPC tennis championships will be held Tuesday at North Lincoln, and South coach Jim McCoy has a doubles team looking to qualify for regionals for the second consecutive year.
“I’m definitely going to put Adam Beam and Warren Boger at doubles,” McCoy said. “They went to regionals last year and hopefully will go this year, too.”
Beam and Boger could earn a seed for doubles play in the SPC tournament, which means one victory would be enough for a trip to regionals.
The seniors are the top two players and have been leaders for the Vikings this year.
“It’s going to be hard to replace them,” McCoy said.
