Gibson makes good on scoring chanceBy Brad Norman
Defender Rachel Gibson, usually counted on to stop the opposition from scoring, got her first chance at a goal Monday against Cherryville. She converted a penalty kick, South’s only goal in the 1-1 tie. “I scored my first and probably last high school career goal,” Gibson said with a chuckle. “It was kind a bummer that we didn’t win.
