Hounds anxious to challenge No. 1 teamBy Brian Meadows Statesville’s girls soccer team was scheduled to host Lake Norman on March 20, but the game was postponed due to poor field conditions. Greyhounds coach Jennifer Husbands said they were disappointed by the postponement. “It’s something we had been looking forward to,” she said. That game has not yet been rescheduled, but the Greyhounds won’t have to wait long for their crack at Lake Norman, the state’s top-ranked 3A team. They visit the Wildcats on Wednesday. “The biggest worry I have is that we’re going to be flat coming off (spring) break,” Husbands said. Bookmarkz |
