Johnson struck out 10 batters and walked two to get the win for the Raiders (2-0 overall, 1-0 North Piedmont 3A). He held the Falcons to just two runs in the first six innings.
Johnson also had a hit and two RBIs for North, which scored four runs in the fifth inning. Tyler Christenberry and Tyler Jordan each had a hit and drove in a run, while Jordan helped seal the win with a clutch defensive play in the infield during the seventh inning.
