Lake Norman duo takes top honors in NPC eventFROM STAFF REPORTS Lake Norman’s Will Cotter, Michah Moffett and Joey Noone shots 39s to finish in the top five, as well, in the nine-hole event. The Wildcats’ four best scores totaled 148, 10 strokes better than second-place Mooresville. Led by third-place finisher Josh Nelson (36) and Jordan Shoaf, who shot a 39 and tied for fifth, the Blue Devils scored 158. Rounding out the top five team scores were East Rowan (165), Northwest Cabarrus (167) and Statesville (169). The Greyhounds’ John Lewis shot a 40 to finish tied for ninth among a field of 60 golfers.
