Post player Paul Larsen garnered attention from several college coaches this season as he keyed the Lake Norman boys basketball team’s successful pursuit of a third straight playoff appearance.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore, who led the Wildcats in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, will be under the microscope again this weekend.

Larsen was selected to participate in Dave Telep’s Carolina Challenge on Saturday in Cary. Telep is the national recruiting director for Scout.com.

The invitation-only combine, observed by college scouts and McDonald’s All-American voters, is for the top 80 non-senior players in the state. Past participants include New Hanover senior Ty Walker, who has committed to play at Wake Forest, and Kinston sophomore Reggie Bullock, a North Carolina commit.
