LeVan changes jobs; coaching situation ‘up in the air’By Brian Meadows West Iredell may be looking for another girls basketball coach. Jeff LeVan is no longer at West. He is now at Lakeshore Elementary, working in the school’s EC department. He left West, he said, because he’s considering going to school and pursuing a degree in special education. “The position opened there, so they went ahead and transferred me down so I could get my feet wet, see if I like it or not,” LeVan said. Continuing to coach, “is still up in the air,” he added. The Warriors battled through numerous injuries and illnesses to finish 6-18 in LeVan’s first sea-son. They won three of their last four games.
