GIRLS BASKETBALL: Statesville Christian 52, Yadkin Home School 14

Lions use big second quarter to roll

Statesville Christian had a huge second quarter Monday en route to a 52-14 win over Yadkin County Home School.

The Lions (12-8) used a huge 25-2 advantage in the second period to blow the game open. Katie Lamm led the team with 14 points.

Drew Burgiss and Logan Bearfield had 10 points apiece, while Ali Burgiss swiped five of the team’s 21 steals.
