MHS takes diamond as No. 1 seedBy Brad Norman Mooresville’s baseball team carries the No. 1 seed into this week’s Catawba Valley Easter Classic. “Seeding’s not that important, but we’re excited,” Blue Devils coach Jeff Burchett said. “We’ve really done quite well in that tournament. We’re going over there to have a good showing and represent Iredell County.” Mooresville, inconsistent at the plate at times, blasted Statesville 17-0 in five innings last week and has some momentum entering the tourney. “Actually, I think we can play better,” Burchett said. “We have to get more consistent.” Bookmarkz |
