Midgets prepare for playoffs

Several days of welcome rain and its lingering aftermath wound u throwing a delay of game penalty at the Mooresville Midget Football League Pee Wee Division clubs engaging in Southland Football League Bowl Day action last weekend.
Scheduled games set for the Newton-Conover High School field were put on hold and will now be played the following weekend instead.
MMFL entries representing the SFL East Division and comprised of the Cougars, Hornets, Terminators and Warriors will now all hit the NCHS turf for their Bowl Day games on track to take place Nov. 10.
Upcoming games
This time around, it’s the MMFl’s Midget Division teams to shine. That is the case as the older division of teams within the SFL ranks close shop for the season with play in their Bowl Day affairs this weekend.
All four of the local teams will be putting forth their best efforts in games taking place on the Bandys High School field tomorrow (Saturday). Of the clubs involved, the most meaningful will take place for the Cougars, as they put their East Division number-one seed to the test against counterparts from the West Division in Boger City in a showdown for overall first-place bragging rights.
Also, the MMFL’s Terminators, Hornets and Warriors all also close out their seasons with the Bowl Day appearances.
