New football coach Shannon Ashley didn’t take long to start thinking about offensive changes for next season.

“I’ll have to talk to my assistant coaches and iron out a gameplan that way, but we have some things in mind to change up the offense,” Ashley said. “We want to be more diverse and get more kids involved.”

Ashley has also announced one new assistant coach for next season.

Roger Bost will serve as the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator. Bost was 80-73 in 12 seasons as Statesville’s head coach.
