Now comes the hard part.
North Iredell’s girls soccer team, winner of four straight games, will go through its toughest stretch of the season starting today.
The Raiders will play West Rowan (6-4), Lake Norman (8-0-1), Mooresville (8-1) and Northwest Cabarrus (9-1-1) in an eight-day span.
“I think with the team structure that we’ve created over the last few games, we might be a little more competitive than we were at the beginning of the season,” Raiders coach Tim Watson said. “The girls are starting to jell a lot better.”
The Raiders are 3-3 in North Piedmont 3A play after defeating West Iredell (0-8-1), Carson (2-5) and East Rowan (3-6).
