North soccer team faces difficult stretchBy Brad Norman Now comes the hard part. The Raiders will play West Rowan (6-4), Lake Norman (8-0-1), Mooresville (8-1) and Northwest Cabarrus (9-1-1) in an eight-day span. “I think with the team structure that we’ve created over the last few games, we might be a little more competitive than we were at the beginning of the season,” Raiders coach Tim Watson said. “The girls are starting to jell a lot better.” The Raiders are 3-3 in North Piedmont 3A play after defeating West Iredell (0-8-1), Carson (2-5) and East Rowan (3-6).
