Raiders complete sweep of FalconsFrom staff reports MT. ULLA — Nick Burwell and Ethan Galliher each drove in three runs Tuesday as North Iredell defeated West Rowan 9-7. Galliher went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Raiders (6-5, 4-5 North Piedmont 3A), who swept the season series with the Falcons. North turned back West Rowan 5-4 in its home opener Feb. 29. Aaron Johnson, Tyler Christenberry and Burwell each had two hits, and Ryan Rutten belted a home run. Johnson pitched 4 2-3 innings for the win, allowing five runs — four earned — on five hits. Burwell threw 2 1-3 innings of relief to earn the save. West Rowan dipped to 8-7 (3-6 NPC). Bookmarkz |
