Filling out a lineup has been quite interesting for girls track coach Darla Cline.

With 14 athletes and 18 events, Cline has to choose which events the Raiders run.

“It’s hard,” Cline said. “Sometimes I have to plead with them to do four (events) so we can at least place and hopefully win. It worked when we ran at Hickory; we got some girls to do a couple of events they haven’t worked on before.”

Amy Shelton has been impressive in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles for the Raiders.

Jasmine Morris, who won the 400-meter run at the Iredell County track meet last year, has also turned some heads.
