Romito leads Warriors to big win on the diamond

FROM STAFF REPORTS
BARIUM SPRINGS — Brian Romito went 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs as West Iredell improved to 2-0 in nonconference play Wednesday with its 11-1 win over South Iredell.

Hunter Dishman pitched five solid innings for the win. He allowed one run and three hits while striking out three.

Will Feimster closed out the game, allowing no runs and no hits in two innings. He struck out four.

Feimster also belted a double and a triple, in addition to driving in a run.

Cody Clanton chipped in with a 2-for-4 effort at the plate.

Rowdy Harris suffered the loss. He surrendered six runs in five-plus innings.

The Warriors host East Rowan in their North Piedmont 3A opener at 4:30 p.m. today.
