All it took was one offer to get the snowball rolling.
Illinois became the first football program to make a formal offer to West standout Quan Rucker in mid-January, and a host of others have followed the Illini’s lead.
Clemson, East Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina State and Virginia have since made offers for the star’s services, according to West coach Mark Weycker.
Rucker caught 52 passes for 642 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. He was also a defensive back for the Warriors.
