Mooresville’s talented tennis team is improving.

Just ask St. Stephens.

The Blue Devils defeated St. Stephens 5-4 on Feb. 28 to open the season and won last week’s rematch 7-2.

Neil Trimble had a big hand in the margin of defeat.

During the first meeting, Trimble lost 8-6 in both singles and doubles, but he won twice the second time.

Trimble earned a 6-3, 7-4 on the No. 1 singles court last week and teamed with Marshall Horsman to win 8-4 as the top-seeded doubles team.
