South’s baseball team lost several close, low-scoring games in the first run through Southern Piedmont 1A-2A play.
With the Vikings’ bats heating up, coach Trey Ramsey likes his team’s chances the rest of the way, provided the pitching remains consistent.
“I’m confident if we hold teams to three runs again, we should win all of them,” Ramsey said. “We have the offense to score four or five runs a game.”
