Warriors suffer a tough defeat

LANDIS — West Iredell lost a heartbreaker Tuesday, falling to South Rowan 6-3.
The Warriors (5-12 overall, 2-10 North Piedmont 3A) were tied at 3-all with two outs in the bottom of the seventh when South Rowan hit a three-run, walk-off homer.
The home run was the only hit allowed by Michael Krueger in four innings pitched.
Hunter Dishman started for the Warriors, allowing three runs and four hits in 2 2-3 innings.
Michael Gatton drove in two runs in the first inning for West, while Nathan Young added a hit and an RBI.
