West doubles team narrowly misses regionalsBy Brian Meadows
Nick Setzer and Tyler Tomlin fell one victory shy of qualifying for regionals Tuesday, when the doubles tandem lost in the NPC tennis tournament quarterfinals to Lake Norman’s Taylor Burton and David Dyer.
Setzer and Tomlin were straight-sets winners in the opening two rounds but needed to reach the tournament semifinals to advance to the playoffs.
