TRACK AND FIELD: At Lake Norman
Wildcats sweep team events at intracounty meetFROM STAFF REPORTS The Wildcats boys finished with 105 points, ahead of South Iredell (50) and West Iredell (31). Lake Norman’s girls collected 109 points to beat the Vikings (45) and Warriors (25). Wildcats senior Tyler McRorie beat South’s Michael Clarke in the triple jump, after Clarke edged him by 2½ inches in the long jump. Tevin Ikard and Anthony Thwaites also won events for South, as did the Vikings’ 4x400 relay team of Henry Bustle, John Gutierrez, Markevis Dalton and John Keller. Megan Parker won the high jump and 100-meter dash for South and teamed up with Whitney Campbell, Courtney Saddler and Shikela Bellamy to win the 4x100 relay. Campbell also won the 400-meter run.
