Wildcats take two from SHSFrom staff reports MOORESVILLE — Lake Norman won both games of a doubleheader Tuesday, beating Statesville 3-0 and 9-1. In the first game, pitcher Jennifer Stogner dominated for the Wildcats, striking out 13 batters and allowing just two hits. Kim Bessent and Jo Beth Wright each had a triple in the victory. Bessent started on the mound in the second game, allowing three hits and striking out two in three innings. Jordan Bishopp struck out four in two innings. Sara Marshall paced the Wildcats’ offensive attack with two hits, while Brittany McGraw added a triple. Bookmarkz |
